♫ Anything Like Me ♫

>> Sunday, June 19, 2011

Today is Father's Day.
I have MANY MANY incredilbe men in my life that I would be proud to give the title "Dad".
My own dad for instance.
Christopher Lowell Brown.
No, not the singer, although he can entertain you until your gut hurts from laughing too hard.
My dad has always been, and will always be,
my greatest hero.
He is not afraid to stand up for what he believes,
Give 100 % +1 to everything he does,
and assist others in doing so also.
He's super buff, and quite handsome for an old man.
What may be the most important than any of those things though,
is my dad taught me to be my OWN greatest hero.
That I, Alex Judson, am of Divine Nature and all I need to do is seek to BE just that.
That I will forever love him for.
That was my daddy daughter song in fact.
Mariah Carey - Hero.

My Father-in-law is another great "Dad" I have.
Mark Eric Judson.
I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that my husband is the man he is today because of the example Mark showed Nick in being a great Dad.
He loves his wife, children {in-laws too! =D}, and grandchildren more than could ever be put down into words,
and it is plainly visible for all to see.
He's handy with his hands and ALWAYS willing to lend a help when needed.
Often times without being asked.
He has a cute sense of humor that will keep you giggling all night.

And my most favorite Daddy of them all?
Nicholas Eric Judson.
The Mister.
My Honey.
My very very best friend in the entire world.
The father of my babes and unborn children.
He is the most accepting and non judgemental person I've ever met.
He gets along with everyone and anyone,
and loves them all the same.
He is feircely protective of all those close to him.
He makes me laugh like no one else can.
Nixon adores him, and already wants to ALWAYS be with him.
Nick loves the song "Anything Like Me" and laughs that we will be in big trouble if Nixon is anything like him,
but if i'm to be honest I can't imagine anyone better for him to be like.
To our most favorite Daddy of them all:
We sure LOVE you!

To Poppa Brown, Judson, Daddy, Grandpa Wakefield, Swaney, Brown, and all of the other awesome Daddy's out there:

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Getting to Know My Readers FRIENDS!

>> Wednesday, June 8, 2011

So I saw this on another Blog the other day.
The Author, mind you, has THOUSANDS {ok maybe HUNDREDS, but still...} of readers.
I thought it was pretty fun though.
You've all seen when someone gets "tagged" and does a little questionaire about themselves.
Well this was kind of the same thing, but with a little twist.
The Author mentioned she wanted to get to know her readers better.
So what she did was answered one of those questionaries,
BUT then asked that they all copy it as a comment and fill their own out.
Now....
I know I don't have many "readers"...
In fact most of you are probably people I went to high school with,
or relatives.
Regardless, I'd still love to get to know my friends.
So here it is.
I'll fill it out then you copy it into the comments and play too!
Then go and get to know all the friends that are SPYING on you {I will most likely be one of them... Just sayin'}....

f. what type of pets do you have? I have to rambunctious {spelling??} labs, Zeus & Cleo.

g. if you had to choose, Peeta Mellark or Edward Cullen? easy, Peeta Mellark. Although if I hadn't seen the Twilight movies and was going just off of the book maybe Edward.... hmmmm.

h. what is your favorite book? Right now as I'm waiting for second summer block to start I'm on a total book craze. I have to say though my favorite of all time still remains Enders Game.

Never Before Heard Of!

>> Monday, June 6, 2011

Alright! Listen up LADIES and GENTS!
Never again will you probably ever see a post like this again.
And this being the reason why:
I, ALEX, AM NOT A GOOD COOK.
No, not in the slightest.
Not yet at least.
In fact, I messed up Bacon the other day.
Yup. Bacon.
I aspire to be though.
Merely for the fact that I want to take care of my husband just as much as he takes care of me.
I also don't want Nixon, and my future Judson babes, to miss out on what Nick and I experienced
growing up.
Good ol' home cookin'.
Sooooo....
Tonight, while Nick was at class, i decided to try something new.
Not something simple.
Not in my books at least.
No. Something complex and YUMMY!
This here is the recipe I chose.
Crazy for a non-cook, RIGHT??
BUT...
I done good guys! I sure did!
It was so yummy and delectable {yes, i'm not much of a writer either....}!
And, although I could not find my camera, I didn't let that stop me from providing PROOF!
So, here it be. My very first GOOD HOMECOOKED MEAL!

The "Inards" of the pie.

 The bottom Crust {NO I DID NOT MAKE IT OUT OF SCRATCH... THAT IS WAYYYY OUT OF MY LEAGE FOR NOW}
The inards in the crust

The Top on!

And Wha La!

Feel free to go ahead and tell me how amazing I am!
At least for tonight that is! ;D

Just Keep Swimming!

>> Thursday, June 2, 2011

Hmmmm....
Maybe it's the eyes?
No. Maybe the nose?
No. It's got to be the chin then. Yes?
No....
Well. I guess I don't see it, BUT I sure did see it the other day!
My son is a fish.
Seriously.
Tuesday we went to seven peaks.
When I got in the water I almost yelped {yelped??} at how cold it was!
I thought for sure there was NO way my son
would be happy about that!
Quite opposite actually!
He kicked and kicked and kicked.
If i'm being honest
{don't want to brag too much about my genius son... ;D}
there was even some arm strokes going on!
{Don't feel bad. Like I said, he is quite genius and far advanced.
Not every baby can be as cool as nixon...}
He's a natural born swimmer!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..... Oh boy.
Anyway. Here are some pictures!
Don't judge.
Pregnancy wasn't kind to Nick and I.
We're still working on the extra poundage business....
Regardless, I do have to say..... ISN'T MY HUSBAND SOOOO CUTE?!
Gosh I love that man.
Hey Mr Grump Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming

Just keep swimming
Uncle Nini and Coopy

Uncle Nini, Coopy, Xan Man, & Nix

What do we do we swim, swim, swim
OH HO HO How I love to swim

.:Blessed:.

Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.
Bill Cosby

It appears Nick and I missed the memo on that one.
Hmmmmm. Hope we don't regret that someday! =D

 February 20th, 2011
This little guy received a name. And a Blessing.
Both Nixon and I are incredibly grateful "The Daddy" in this house
strives daily to be worthy enough to hold
The Priesthood {somthing the men in Our Church recieve when they are 12 if they seek to be worthy to hold it}.

The Blessing was filled with promised gifts
as long as Nixon seeks to recieve them.

The Name {which was only chosen weeks before his birthday}
was chosen two honour to great men in my life.
"The Daddy" Nicholas Eric &
"The Poppa" Chrisopher.
nixon chistopher
{yep, "Nick's son"!}

Isn't it SOOO hard to just choose a few great people??
How did you choose?

Nixon was lucky enough to share his special day with his Uncle Brock,
{that cute missionary you see over in the side bar}.
Brock was leaving for his mission in Fiji two weeks later.
Needless to say the Brown household was packed.
Of couse, I forgot to take ANY pictures...
Yep, Mom of the year right here!
I did however take some of him later in his blessing outfit,
which we had made by a nurse at the hospital.
It was patterned after a cute onsie outfit I found at GAP that was to die for,
BUT was not white....

Anyway.
Because I know you all would rather see the pictures then hear me ramble on...
Without further adu...
Isn't he so handsome!!

♥Al
